The Chronograph 911 Turbo 50 Years, an exquisite timepiece, is a testament to the legacy of the original Turbo that made its grand entrance at the Paris Motor Show in 1974, and to its contemporary counterpart unveiled this esteemed Friday. This horological masterpiece melds the design elegance of its automotive muses, flaunting a 42 mm titanium case that melds grace with resilience. Adorned with a black sunburst dial punctuated by the custom Turbonite color accents, the timekeeper boasts a “Turbo 50” insignia at nine o’clock, while its seconds dial pays a novel homage, mirroring a turbocharger’s wheel.
Signature Design Elements and In-House Precision
Delving deeper into the design, the chronograph’s winding rotor takes inspiration from the unique wheels of the special edition vehicle and bears the prestigious Porsche emblem. Even the wrist strap pays homage to the marque, being fashioned from authentic Porsche vehicle leather stitched with Turbonite thread. At the heart of the chronograph lies the precision of the in-house Werk 01.200 caliber, ensuring timekeeping as steadfast as the sports car it celebrates.
Available exclusively to the proprietors of the anniversary edition automobile, this chronograph, restricted to 1,974 pieces, resonates with the era of its debut. Its casing, priced at $12,533, will carry an engraving of the vehicle’s unique identification number.

Encased within a 41 mm titanium shell with a matte black finish, this monolithic timepiece couples elegance with an air of intrigue, providing the option of a leather or titanium bracelet.
Echoing the Turbo’s illustrious dashboard, the dial lays out three subdials set against a canvas of red and white indicators. Typographical nods to Porsche’s history are found in the “Flyback” label, using the font from the historic 911 dashboard, while the Porsche Design emblem is distinctively 1970s. The inner workings of this timepiece, visible through the transparent caseback, include the in-house Werk 01.240 caliber with an ingenious flyback functionality, elegantly combining the start, stop, and reset chronograph features in a singular motion.
