Now that Ingrid Michaelson is spending more of her time on the East Coast, crafting music and lyrics for The Notebook on Broadway, the renowned folk – pop singer and songwriter has decided to part with her Los Angeles residence. Her catchy tunes have graced various TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy and One Tree Hill. Michaelson, a native of New York, and her actor partner, Will Chase, have listed their charming Spanish Revival – style home in the Outpost Estates neighborhood of Hollywood Hills for $4.3 million. Eric Lavey of Sotheby’s International Realty is handling the listing.

“I started to realize that it was more of this beautiful, almost jewel that we never wore,” Michaelson told Bloomberg, which first reported on the sale. “And it’s such a gorgeous place. I just feel like someone should live in it.”

The Home’s Acquisition and Renovation
Michaelson acquired the 1920s home in spring 2019 for around $3.6 million from High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale. This 3,520 – square – foot, multi – level home has three bedrooms and four baths. Designed by Charles E. Toberman, it underwent extensive renovations before Michaelson moved in. Francesca Grace has recently restyled the interiors, even including Michaelson’s white baby grand piano, which could be sold with the house.

An ornate wood front door leads to an entry foyer with original home photographs passed down by the owners.
